(More customer reviews)I have used numerous brands of flat irons and there is no comparison for the Cortex. For those of you who may not know, Cortex is somewhat the "generic" if you will of the Amika flat irons which run about $300-$400 each. I bought my Cortex flat iron just like this one over a year ago and I couldn't be happier! I am a cosmetologist so mine has definitely been put to the test. It heats up instantly and smooths and flattens better than any other. I used to swear by my Chi Iron until I was introduced to the Cortex and now I would never go back. This is definitely a good buy. I cannot even buy them at the supply house for this price! This flat iron will be some of your best money spent as far as hair care necessities go.
